I have hypertension!

Wait...

How is that possible? I eat nothing but meat and cheese and eggs and coffee. I weigh a svelte (and solidly packed) 128 kgs. My weight, height, age, and collar measurement are exactly the same as Jackie Gleason in the first season as The Honeymooners!

Um...

So, there you are. Pyat has entered early middle age.

I'm reading about reducing kidney stones and it says stuff like cabbage and cauliflower are excellent for you! In lieu of yummy dark green leafys, I recommend these to replace them. Lots of good things for you AND fibre which totally helps with the overall health of your person.
The article I read (http://www.webmd.com/kidney-stones/kidney-stones-prevention) also said this:
"Try not to add salt when you cook or eat. Try removing the salt shaker from your table."
Pyat, this is REALLY you. REALLY. Please take care of you!

I like cabbage and cauliflower!

And... salt... and... oh dear. :(

I shall take care of me, and I'm sure friends will help.

I got this stuff called No Salt Added. Use it a lot. Very flavourful.

It also helps to avoid things that have extra salt. Things that come in cans (like soup, gravy, sauces and even pop) aren't good, and things dry and crisp in a bag. Restaurant food and fast food are also no-nos as a rule because of their high sodium content. Even some breakfast cereals are suspect, so you gotta read the packaging.

Regular exercise 45 minutes a day can lower your BP about 9 mmHg for 9 hours, and you can split it into 2 or three different parts.

My final suggestion is to invest in an BP home monitoring cuff and track your BP over time. Don't get the cheapest and don't get the most expensive one. And don't get one of those wrist monitor jobbies either.
