I am 100% sure that the jerk-wing of the right wing is already claiming that, by fluffing a line in his swearing in, he is somehow not really president.

Date: 2009-01-20 10:13 pm (UTC)At 11:59, Bush was president. At 12:00 Obama was president. This has actually come up once or twice in the past when Inauguration Day (Jan 20) was a Sunday. The office changed over to the new President, but the ceremonial recognition was held the following day.
