Going to the opera(!) tonight with velvetpage. Shoes are polished, trousers pressed, and I managed to tie a Half-Windsor with only a brief glance at reference materials.

Tell you the truth, I really prefer the other Strauss (haughty snuffling), but Johann is no slouch either, and Die Fledermaus (http://www.sugarshock.net/pics/tick_pics/heybabe.JPG) was always my favorite!

It was quite entertaining, and the production was fairly lavish. We're actually thinking of getting season tickets, as they usually only put on 2 or 3 shows a year.
