A 2 second exposure of the tree outside my house. It is a dark and stormy night. Very high winds, and snow is in the forecast.

For those keeping track at home, I've caught seven mice since Saturday. Two dead, five relocated into the wild.

I'm a guest at Hammercon on Saturday! Anyone going who I didn't already know about?

Pyat's Fortress has received another update...

This is where I'm sitting RIGHT NOW. It's 16 C.

Wider view...

Things on a shelf. Bits and pieces of detritus.

That's what I see when I look left. Turntable, TV, amp. The TV is wired to a DVD player about 15 feet away. The amp is wired to the turntable, the TV, and my computer.

The little computer that could! THis is my Acer Aspire, connected to the full-size monitor, keyboard, and mouse. It works very well. However, it refuses to recognize its own keyboard now, making it nearly useless for portable word processing. Sigh.

Bring it to MFF. I will see if I can address the issue with your keyboard.

Also, do you have a room for MFF? Currently, it is only myself and Leonard in the room, and I would like one or two more people.

THank you, I shall! :)

I do have a room, in the overflow hotel. I'm travelling with [livejournal.com profile] sassy_fae and maybe [livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog, so I don't know if a room share would work for that many people.

But we are sort of interested in being closer... I'll talk to my people!

Also... hey! Happy birthday. :)

I think it'd be great to share space with Canadians!

16 degrees! Looks like you could use a space heater.

I have one! :) I turned it on, and it got much nicer.

Elizabeth wonders if she can get her cat this weekend!

The photo of that tree is really incredible!

And it's 16c and you're just sitting there? Why aren't you building a fire or burning coal or something? You could catch your death of cold!

Sixteen degrees is "shrug and put on a sweater" weather. We're hardy Canadians and don't feel the cold. *goes to fold up extra blankets used on bed last night and turns up collar of turtleneck*

I'm very much of the same philosophy. I haven't even turned on the furnace yet... though I considered it as I crawled out of the covers this morning.

It's 22c here right now, and I'm freezing! Of course, I'm not smart enough to put on a sweater. Someday, I may learn!

My house is 22 C in the middle of summer when I'm conserving on air conditioning.

Thank you! The smaller branches and leaves were tossing in the wind, making them look sorta like smoke in the final photo.

Yeah, trees in wind can produce some really interesting results with long exposures.

I may be able to go to Hammercon Saturday, but not until the afternoon when my mother in law is around. The Girl-O has am ballet lessons, and Mrs_DM will be away.

I'm also torn a little about attending MIGSCON, which is held the same day and which I've been attending for the past 6+ years.

Maybe I'll go to both!

Let me know about MIGSCON or Hammercon, I'm trying to keep Saturday free for whatever...

A tree of great mystery and suspense. Behold how its branches quell the foggy mists about it and clasp the light within them.

(I had to edit my own comment. How grand?)

I don't have that issue of Dragon, but I've seen it in the used bookstore and passed up on it because it didn't really grab me. Kinda makes me interested in seeing which ones you do have. :)

I love seeing people's space. Their gaming room or office or nook. Very cool. Sadly I missed Hammercon for Migscon and cost wise I can't justify both.

I've never been to MigsCon! Hopefully next year the two cons will be on different weekends.

That good to hear. I mean its not often we have gaming cons here, do they really need to compete?
