Very tired, but it was a good trip. We were only at the con for about 6 hours before heading to dinner reservations and our motel in Bobcaygeon. Photos below because I'm too sleepy for typing.

And turn black and white! And smile!

Man, they used to have the most awesome wars ever. I did not buy this book, but I did buy Mr. Punch's History of the Great War, which is chockful of icon fodder and game research details.

Dave Watson, the con organizer.

Dinner at St. Veronus, which I can't praise highly enough.

Um.... water!

You can lead a [livejournal.com profile] kores_rabbit to water. And she will likely drink.

View from our room at the Stonyhurst Motel in Bobcaygeon.

Cozy, if rustic, interior. We huddled around my portable DVD player and watched Prince Caspian. Later, [livejournal.com profile] kores_rabbit introduced me to Mr. Show. A lo, it was good.

The presence of a Haller "Prometheus" gas range thing qualified the room as having a "kitchenette."

[livejournal.com profile] kores_rabbit takes almost as many photos as I do...

No paparazzi!

Main Street in Bobcaygeon. Where the constellations reveal themselves, one star at a time.

It's pretty much my favourite restaurant in Ptbo. The steak sandwich is wonderful, the charcuterie platters are great, and the King Baudoin soup is like, the best soup ever.

The linguine had apple flavours in the cream sauce. It was unexpected and wonderful.

I am so incredibly pleased that you got a Bobcaygeon quote in there, too! I would've been so disappointed otherwise.

Once again, thanks for the photostraveganza!

I go with a line about him heading back to the big city, thinking about quiting, leaving his job behind......

The sky in Toronto is certainly dull and hypothetical and falling one cloud at a time, right now!
