We watched about 3/4 of Xanadu. I found it strangely charming. We did not watch Road House.

We got some wild, but short-lived, winds one night. I went down to the little lake at sunset, and within moments it was as dark as midnight as some black clouds roiled over.

I adore 'cottage' movies. They're always strange and terribly out of date. Years back I was stuck with a broken ankle at the cottage (15 years ago, OMG!) and ended up watching Platoon and Terminator and other 10+ year old movies. I think Ladyhawk was there but I never watched it. Escape from New York was too and a Mad Max movie. I watched the second but not the first.
