Storm's all done here, except for a little lightning. Unless we get hit with a second wave, I guess.

we had a bolt hit close enough earlier that the ensuing thunder made the floor literally shake...I think my chair moved up and down by at least a quarter of an inch. kind of freaky!

sounds like one of the storms we get through here about once every week.

Yet another reason for you to come visit Indiana!

Hey, I already live close to the lightning capital of Canada! Ask Raff about driving through London in a storm. :) He was impressed, even as an old Midwesterner!

We saw the awesome lightning as we were coming out from dinner out. We had enough time to admire it and got back to the house in time to load a dresser and drawers sitting outside into the car before the sky opened up and soaked everything.

It was not a happy night for me, I can tell you that. It was so hot yesterday I went to my parents house, and I watched some movies, but then the storm hit and the power went out. My parents weren't 'at' the house, they're staying at a hotel because they're running a secret society convention this weekend. So I was in their cluttered basement with a bowl of ice cream and no power.
Way too boring. I got the umbrella and walked back to my apartment, but the power was out here too! It was super crazy ultimate hot too, like an oven, and without my fans there was nothing I could do. So, I went back out into the night aful with lightnings and went to the McDonalds, which had both power and air conditioning. But it was so late when I finally got home and power. Alas.
