Despite a great deal of work, I've still managed to go out on a couple of lunchtime rambles with [livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog in the last couple of weeks. Last week, we combined a visit to the new "Wave Pier" and some kind of pet museum that was next door.

The Natrel-Bot has returned to the placid waters of Natrel-Pond. Quite sensible, really. Everyone knows you get a heatsink bonus when firing weapons while partially submerged.

The Wave Pier. Also know as "Wheelchair Deathramp" and "The Place Where 'No Skateboards' Signs Are Especially Useless".

This is an icon waiting to happen.

Each level has a more or less precipitous angle.

They got up okay, but the sharp drop on the other side had them clambering down with the railing.

Teddog descends.

Right next door to the pier was a coffee shop and a pet museum/educational exhibit.

The exhibits were rather speciesist. Nothing but cats and dogs. Not a word about mice!

I really hoped this was a monument to Billy, the Brave Snake. But noooo. Just more stuff about brave dogs and cats.

This week, we just managed a random directless ramble that ended in schwarma and a bench on the campus of Ryerson University.

And weird milk.

OOh, neat stuff. I love the wave pier, and hey! Chocolate hazlenut milk! That sounds yummy!! I didn't know Sealtest dairy still existed! We used to get sealtest ice cream all the time at home growing up. Do you know if they still make ice cream??

I don't think they do - or rather, they do, but it's branded as something else. :)

I like the look of that milk. Was it any good? Also, I should take a picture of myself right now because I look a mess. j0no laughed at my hair!

It was very... mellow. It was good, though not as thirst-quenching as normal chocolate milk.

You should take a pic!

is that icon-like one of someone slipping and falling or sliding down an Awesome Waterslide?

It can be both!

I believe that sign is either;

Caution. Men breaking wind. or

Warning. Bacon may lead to spontaneous dancing!

1. It was neat, but... yeah. Who thought it was a good idea?

2. Come visit! We'll get lunch! But not today. Lunch is over.

Of course there's a bonus for firing from water, now I just need to get my omnimech's missile pods replaced with torpedoes and then I'm ready for my military coup of Atlantis!

Hmm, though I haven't checked in a while, I'll now need to see if I can still get Sealtest here in North Carolina.

I'm also thinking, Wave Dancing!

Lots of weird and wonderful signs people made!
