I have simultaneous conflicting desires to run a game of Ironclaw, Dark Heresy, Star Trek, or a couple of freelance contract settings.

Sigh. I need to quit my job so I can focus on these important things.

What are the freelance contract settings? *tiny camera in pocket*

Is big secret. :) At least, on a public post.

And I need to really work on them and write faster!

Why choose just one? Meld them all together. ^_^

The last time I played a blended system was when a larger gamer group i was in just after highschool wanted to play a World of Darkness campaign. Everyone played a character from a different book and we defied logic allowing them all to be on a super task force team.

Me, caring nothing about the WoD franchise created a Streetfighter character (Yes, from the video game franchise. It used the White Wolf system)

It was a big terrible mess.

I made a robot wrestler for that game, named "Tobor." He wasn't really a robot, but he dressed like one!

Clearly, what you need to run is actually in alternate-universe Trek, which actually turns out to be fairly on in the Imperium of Mankind, and which has just come into contact with a world full of medieval, magic using anthropomorphs.

(Seriously, a lot of the old Space Master stuff I've got has medieval-magic world scenarios as an interface with Role Master.)

My game night just had a spot open up on the schedule (my game is being shelved after three years, because the party reached a reasonable stopping point. Few games survive being shelved, but in my favor, they were in the mood for something else, not just to get rid of my game). Dark Heresy and Ironclaw wound up on our list of possibilities, as well, though the final cut is down to either Earthdawn or Anima (which two of our people said sounded really neat, but none of the rest of us had heard of. Enthusiasm is catching, though!).

Dang it... I just bought a bunch of Earthdawn stuff, too!

Earthdawn, the FASA precursor to Shadowrun?

Heh. I used to think that too.

You'll learn, grasshopper. You'll learn.

I'd prefer to learn after winning an enormous lottery, of course!

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] catsarah is picking up your present before visiting you. Um... I think you'll like it, though on reflection it may not be the best thing to give someone in recognition of their increasing age.

But in any case, it's yours! :)

... Oh dear. o.O

Regardless! Thank you for the thought behind it, whatever it turns out to be. I admit, I'm quite intrigued. I'm sure I will appreciate it in the spirit with which it was given.

Hey, as long as it's that clear-dissolving benefibre stuff, that's cool. You can drop 10g of that in a big mug of coffee and never even notice it.

Hmm...you've been noodling through all those used RPG items you picked up at last Saturday's game sale!

We enjoy the occasional one-shots, too. In fact, we're looking for GM's to run some One-Shots! BRING ME A GAME!!

All I want to say is I think you've designed a game based on the last entry on this chart.
