Remember how yesterday I went out for a haircut and came back with a 5" black and white television?

SUCCESS!

DO NOT ADJUST YOUR SET! I control the horizontal! But not, apparently, the vertical!

The weird rolling of the vertical is a result of sympathetic harmonics between the camera's refresh rate, and that of the TV.

What you ought to do is see if you can get the camera feeding into the TV to take an image of the TV, and try to get a feedback tunnel, like was used to get the opening sequence from the initial seasons of Doctor Who.

Yup to both! I fiddled with the tunnel effect, even, but didn't really like it.

Dark(?) Secret: I used to be a cameraman at a local cable TV station.

Darker Secret: In high-school, I made bootleg copies of Akira and Blade Runner for people in the media lab editing suite.
