...of my attendance as a panelist at the first C-ACE convention in Ottawa.

I'm waaay in the back, under a lamp. The person is in the red shirt is [livejournal.com profile] melskunk. The man in the white shirt on the floor [livejournal.com profile] dronon.

[livejournal.com profile] melskunk in red shirt, apparently still talking to yours truly, who is out of frame to the right.

[livejournal.com profile] dronon, buying things!

Amarasock. [livejournal.com profile] amarafox!

Ottawa, in 2002. It was a good con, but only ran a few years.

I must have been writing for too long today. For some reason I read "first C-ACE convention in Toronto" and I thought maybe they'd moved it here or something. Wishful reading, maybe?

Well, it was in the olden days, back when you were still dying your hair that unnatural brown colour. Youthful rebellion, I guess. :)

Here's another one!

I was rather saddened when I had learned that they had cancelled C-ACE. It seemed like one of the Cons that I could probably have afforded to go to.

Carpe diem.

Per diem.

Well, hopefully we might entice you into visiting WTF when we get it running... seeing as we will have a lot of input from our C-ACE staff methinks, also seeing as it is being run by a few of us ;)

I miss my C-ACE. I really do.

I'd love to!

And, if you need guests or panelists... I have books to sign and sell! I talk incessantly! My wife has written a furry novel that was not self-published!

Also, what is WTF?

Con in early-planning stages in Montreal, care of Felinaus and others. 2010/11, depending. :-) And now, my own response to this post, had I not decided to reply to a reply:

Ack!

(or)

Our paths crossed again in the past!

(and)

I'm pretty sure that's my bulk on the floor, with my head, not on the bed.

Myself at the head of the project, WTF, expandedly known as "What The Fur", is a convention we are planning to have in 2010 (or, at worst, 2011) in Montreal. This time, unlike a previous attempt at a Montreal Furry Con, we are fully supported by the local community, as well as a few others (Kingston and Ottawa, we haven't reached much further than that yet. Well, a few folks up from Kitchener know).
the web URL is whatthefur.ca
And, yes! we most likely will need panelists, and you were already going to be on my list of people to ask, and/or have our programming folks ask. And as a personal aside, we need more authors to become sining examples! (What's the book called, btw?)

More info will be coming shortly on this endeavour. right now, we've had all of 1 meeting.

Thank you! I was actually invited as an author guest (or whatever the term was they were using) to the previous Montreal con, but had to cancel. I'd love to get to a con in Montreal, in whatever capacity. Hamilton airport even has direct flights, if we didn't have time to roadtrip.

What time of year are they shooting for?

[livejournal.com profile] velvetpage's book is Dream-Carver, a small press novel set in the Ironclaw RPG universe, and sold by Saguine productions.

Never tell a con-chair that you'd love to go in whatever capacity... thems the words that rope people into concom ;)

We're looking for late summer or early fall. Of course, it depends on hotel availability and whatnot.

Will definitely purchase said book! I've been falling behind on my Ironclaw/jadeclaw stuff these last few years.

I was programming director for Conthulhu for a couple of years! And gaming track coordinator for WorldCon Toronto before I quit and ran screaming into the night and vowed never to be on concom again. ;)

But I'm willing to offer a hand in some areas, definitely. Even concom, if it were not one of the more headache inducing positions.
