Barton Street used to be Hamilton's shopping district.

Now it is home to stores like this:

Festive!

[livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog, who lived fairly near here, says the seasonal decorations have been up since she was a kid.

As in those specific seasonal decorations have been there the whole time?

Yeah, those specific ones. They've been up for about fifteen years.

Sometimes it feels like that at my store. We went directly from Autumn Leaves and Harvest decor to Valentine's Day hearts -- of course, around here, having autumn leaves over Christmas is more accurate than snowflakes.

...we still have the hearts up. They went up just before we had a massive recession-based cut in hours, so I doubt we'll get'em replaced with shamrocks for St. Paddy's next week. Maybe Easter.

(scratches head) At least the decorations will be in synch with the season at least 1-2 months a year!

I always knew of the castle in the city, but never went around to look at it. I wonder what is now in the "grand entrance" is it accessable at all fromt eh outside?

I'm not sure if it's been bricked up, or runs into the back of the strip mall, or what!
