Last night was the first installment of the Werewolf: The Forsaken game, set in 1867 New Mexico. It was... interesting. Present were [livejournal.com profile] catsarah, [livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog, [livejournal.com profile] ruiskafleck, [livejournal.com profile] velvetpage and [livejournal.com profile] wggthegnoll. [livejournal.com profile] momentrabbit was absent with a prior commitment, and therefore missed all the letter-reading, whiskey-slugging, cowpoke-staring, deputy-baiting, river-trail-hiking, cupboard-opening fun!

I have promised to the players that the game will NOT be unduly influenced by either SCTV's Western Serial spoof, "Six Gun Justice," nor the 1935 sf/musical/western/action/romance serial that inspired it... The Phantom Empire:

FEATURING THE SCIENTIFIC CITY OF MURANIA! ROBOTS IN COWBOY HATS! How DARE you speak to ME of CIRCUMSTANCES!!

Oooh, I got that disc, BTW. Haven't had a chance to watch it. Thank you. :)

Your book is sitting in my drawer at my office. I kept missing my window of opportunity to mail it off last week, but this week for sure.

No worries or hurry! I wasn't sure what you might've seen so I just crossed my fingers in that respect. (of course I could've e-mail and asked ahead of time, cough)

Here's a separate question though while I'm at it: Whilst researching French comic books, I recently found out there was a French graphic novel version of The Wind in the Willows by a fellow named Plessix, which has been translated and published back into English for North American readers. I was wondering if you've seen it and if you recommend it? I might be popping by the main city library today to have a look-see, although book number one is checked out. Embarassingly, I have never read the original.

I've not read that one, but before you look it, you should read the original.

Immediately.
