That was very fine Serenity session, if I do say so myself, even if it did result in the accidental deaths of David Byrne and Howard Moon. My portrayal of Howard Moon apparently reminded [livejournal.com profile] anidada strongly of a band manager she dislikes!

[livejournal.com profile] sassy_fae got a new shirt for Valentine's Day, a fact for which we were all suitably thankful.

Soda bread was made. And stew.

Skeleton earrings were worn.

There were shenanigans.

And monkeyshines.

Which resulted in expected giggles.

Cat. In a hat!

Also, thanks to the laptop and a set of portable speakers, I was able to simultaneously play whale song and Kenny G to simulate the effect of bizarre electromagnetic radiation in the atmosphere of a gas giant. There were explosions, boots to the head, rewirings of shuttle craft, explosive decompressions, and Milton Berle as Mr. "Good Time" Edward Filth, record producer and captain of Baal's Bacchanal.

Kudos to [livejournal.com profile] nottheterritory for taking the bull by the horns in game and sending things off in an interesting direction. Also, for sussing out the secret plot.

In Canada, V Day is also THANKSGIVING.

Thank you, oh Lord, for thy most munificent blessing, namely, thus, the comely bosom of our sassy sister. Damn.

Amen.

Your group also played an all-girl rock band in space? :)

No, just a Serenity campaign. Take one Firefly class transport, load it up with an slightly-off crew, shake, point at the bad guys and let fly.

Um . . . the escape pod detached from the ship and left a gaping hole where the door to the room was - and Howard was in the process of knocking on the door to come bother the pretty ladies within.

Well, sudden decompression, followed by exposure to hard radiation, followed by being hit by a Companion Shuttle, followed by burning up in the atmosphere of a gas giant.

I'm sure he'll come back next season. :)

I believe the typically prescribed therapy is progressively higher levels of exposure until the reaction ceases.

I was thinking more of the radio signals produced by (I think) Saturn, the ones that sound a bit like dolphins and a metronome.

Ah! It was Saturn.
