Yes, the microphone is full of cool. I'm jealous, and resolve to spend a little time on eBay looking for a companion to the Korean-war era headphones I already own.
Any trouble getting it to interface with everything else from a more recent century?
Yeah, at the end. Matthew Ebel, right? If you know of him having any issues with it's use, lemme know. It was presented to me ages ago as just some tune that was kicking around the net, but I made a point of looking up the musicians name at some point.

Oooh! I was in there, running a game at Furfest! I was caught describing something to a player, and accenting my description with vague hand gestures while the light shined off my head and my beard totally obscured my neck! Whee!
As soon as I hit post I realized I should probably clarify: the "teeny, tiny" is a reference not to any sort or degree of inadequacy of your explanation, but to the vast swath of my own confusion regarding furries. Baby steps!

I'll pick a nit and point out that the first SF fan appearance of the propeller (or helicopter) beanie cap was at Torcon 1 (the 1st Toronto Worldcon) in 1948, where Ray Nelson (who contributed to the fanzine Space Warp) wore one to the delight and amazement of everyone present.
