I was totally wrong!
Jan. 28th, 2009 08:29 pmIt was actually $11,400.
I came very close to losing my temper with the woman when she told me she wasn't selling anything. After a two hour presentation about Rainsoft.

Date: 2009-01-29 02:01 am (UTC)I am an incredibly effective salesperson (that horn tootin.. mine) and I am always brutally honest about my sales. And I win.
I had a similar experience with DirectBuy. The tell you how much their membership will save you and all that jazz, but you have to go to the presentation before they will tell you anything. If you have to hide it all in a "non sales presentation" then I don't need to buy it.

Date: 2009-01-29 02:09 am (UTC)Yes! Just so. When corporations and cities get competing bids, the price it right at the top... and THEN it gets to talking about benefits. I want a price, a final price, and not 45 minutes spent talking about the price of soap and the hidden cost of hard water.
