We had a decent weekend, and a fairly productive one! Saturday, I rearranged the furniture in our front room, creating a much more usable space around The Mighty Table. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to locate the character sheets and game notes for the next installment of the Firefly game. Instead, we played Lunar Rails, a complicated game involving crayons and railways between Lunar settlements, and deliveries of scientists to Tycho and the like. [livejournal.com profile] anidada won, while I was busily running a shipment of diamonds across the Dark Side of the Moon.

Sunday was church and a relaxed afternoon of haircuts and family time. [livejournal.com profile] velvetpage managed to get a lot done on her book, and I was feeling pretty creative myself. Did a bit of writing on a freelance contract.

I had all sorts of curious dreams on the weekend, including one in which I drove along a single lane road that lead to "Spring", and as I drove the weather got warmer and flowers appeared. I also had a weird dream about trying to catch a translucent vampiric insect that lived in our bath tub.

And today, new LJ friend [livejournal.com profile] theycallmebeth happened to be downtown, so we met at the Second Cup near my office, then walked up to sample the head-sized soup on Church Street! And lo, both soup and company was good.

Your obvious desire to be headed for spring already amuses me, especially right after I read [livejournal.com profile] andpuff's entry which linked this blog entry (http://the-legion-of-decency.blogspot.com/2009/01/lazy-sunday-54-crashed-ice.html) about how Canadians are just a little mental when it comes to winter.
