pyatThe German navy was scuttled in Scapa Flow in the Orkneys, in 1919. To this day, dive salvagers visit the wreck to retrieve steel for use in Geiger Counters and other radiation sensitive devices. This steel has not been contaminated by nuclear arms testing, and allows for more sensitive instruments.
