Lake-effect snowsqualls and strong winds will create locally dangerous driving conditions tonight through Wednesday. While this will not be a widespread snowfall, some of us downwind from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will likely be shoveling more than 15 cm of snow by later Wednesday. Lake-effect snowsqualls will intensify tonight as the deepening storm over Quebec draws down the first true arctic blast of the season.

Um...

Um...where do you live again? That's not "locally" to you or I, unless going through the Queenston traffic circle puts one into another climactic region...?

Hmm. That was on the weather network alert for Hamilton. I guess it applies to a lot more of the province...

Well, arguably, all of Southern Ontario is downwind of Lake Huron. It's a very big lake.

I live quite close to the Queenston traffic circle, and I promise you I have done no shovelling today!

Two months ago (give or take a week) I was camping in the hot sun. This region is seriously screwed up.

I'm so not ready for snow and winter weather. I need new boots, and I need to locate my hats, gloves and scarves. Furthermore, I need to put away some outdoor summer toys in the garage...and cover the outside air conditioner...and take in some of my lawn ornaments for the winter. Arrrghhh!

Heh. According to the Weather Network, I merely have to worry about a few furries dropping by.

(rereads)

Oh. Well, still less than a centimeter of snow. Pretty nice.

Flurries of furries?

Hey, that'd be neat. A sudden burst of furries who mill about excitedly for a bit, then melt away. :)

Yah.

And this is why I love the desert.

Good luck with all that...
