Geeksgiving V - The Hamination

Geekgiving, the Blessed Feast of Nom-Nom-Nominalism that lies generally betwixt Mundanesgiving and Hallowe'en, was today. This year marks the fifth (or possibly sixth?) since the Holy Feast was established. Annual consultation of the oracles, cast entrails, and omens indicated that Sunday, October 26th was the most auspicious time to mark the festival.

So, we did.


Good china, good food, good friends. Starting at the head of the table, and L to R are momentrabbit (in neckbrace), nottheterritory, commanderteddog, catsarah, anidada, velvetpage, sassy_fae, and seattlemouse. I'm behind the camera.



catsarah is real purdy.


seattlemouse and catsarah are both real purdy, in fact!


momentrabbit is trying out for a part in a 1980s courtroom based sitcom. "Whiplash, eh? A likely story!"


nottheterritory and commanderteddog tuck in!


anidada and velvetpage are slightly blurry, but also real purdy.

There was much hilarity through the evening.

sassy_fae requires medical assistance.


Yeah, that was my reaction, too...


There was a rainbow!


The house was rather well-filled. In addition to adults, there were three small kids running about.


commanderteddog did NOT tree any of the cats in attendance.


catsarah and seattlemouse had a sock fight.


Interwebs videos were watched!


Couch snuggles with velvetpage happened.


In short, a jolly good time.

I got it at the Fan Expo we both attended! I bought three...a purple one for sassy_fae, a blue one for velvetpage and the rainbow one for me. And mine is sssssooooofffftttt too :D

It's surprisingly comfortable, actually. Which.. uhm.. probably suggests how uncomfortable my neck and back have been for a while now, come to think of it. Sometimes you don't realize how much something hurts until it stops. (grimace)

Anyhow, aside from making shoulder checks in the car trickier, it's not all that inconvenient. (If I'm still wearing it in the dog days of summer, I may reexamine that assessment.)
