[livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog noted that Google is letting people view archives of their oldest available search results, from 2001.

So, naturally, I googled myself.

This is the webpage for my original gaming group - the images still display and you read notes from RPG games I was running in the late 90s. Oooh, and I quote Tolkien.

This is the interview with Steve Gallacci that I mentioned in an post the other day, about my first "fandom" roadtrip. Published in December, 1997.

The part about the slugs brings back such fond memories. Those things really made cycling an adventure sometimes. Explaining one's war wounds as "slipped on a slug" sort of deflates the whole grizzled mountain biker image.

I used to really enjoy running into Stevie G. at cons(2 of them anyway). Not that I knew him, but like many sci-fi authors and artists, he'd just talk to fans and I always thought that was cool.

And, let me say that googling oneself is kinda scary. Comments made on forums are eternal in this day and age. I also found I recently was nominated for a Medal of Honor in the 101st Airborne. News to me.

Wow, thanks, I just found a weird story I wrote when I was like 16.
