The Evening of Homebodies!
Aug. 31st, 2008 07:05 pmElizabeth was upset to learn that Queen Elizabeth II is quite old, and will eventually die. Hmm.
We had some folks coming over tonight. Wveryone canceled at or around the last minute, meaning we have a clean house and snacks. Might as well enjoy it! Though,
velvetpage is feeling a bit peaky. So, I suspect I'll be spending the evening on the Fortress computer, playing my latest video game.
Video games, you see, are like wine. They need to age in fine bargain bin casks before being decanted.

Date: 2008-09-01 06:25 pm (UTC)Elizabeth, earlier this year, made the connection between growing old and dying. She asked about an old woman on the street, and I said something like:
Me: "She was a little girl once, you know, just like you."
Elizabeth: "Will I get old?"
Me: "Yes, but it takes a long time."
At that point she started crying, because she knows old people die. Sigh.
