I went for ice cream and a turn round the Queen Quay area with [livejournal.com profile] tzoq this afternoon. While there, he presented me with a present! A limited edition, 3-DVD set of silent horror movies, with original soundtracks by Nash the Slash! Very limited edition - only 100 copies were made. [livejournal.com profile] tzoq did the box graphics. Nash may be best known to some of the folks on my friends list as a recurring character in Matt Howarth comics.

The set includes:
Un Chien Andalou (1929): Yes, this is the one with the razor blade across the eye...
Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari (1920)
The Lost World (1925): With Wallace Beery as Professor Challenger!
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922): With Maximilian Schreck!

I am very pleased with this gift. :) Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] tzoq!

Wow. Very nice. Andalou is actually a favorite of mine -- whenever I had writer's block I'd put it in and muse on what was really going on as a way to inspire myself.

I'd love to see all of the above in HD remasters, much like what I know we're being promised for the restored Metropolis in '09.
