Odd connections

A fellow I worked with for a few months, eleven years ago, has emailed me to ask if I can write English narration/subtitles for a Japanese TV documentary. The documentary is about 18th century painter Itō Jakuchū, and his influence on contemporary Japan - at least, I think it is.

Nope, just taking an existing literal translation and massaging it into something more professional.

Though, my only previous experience with rewriting Japanese translations were Fujitsu documents about the history of the use of certain materials in electronic soldering, and current government regulations about the practice.

This will likely be more interesting!
