Mad birthday props to [livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog, who bought me blueberry gelato and brought me the MST3K edition of Omni magazine from 1992 to look at!

IT REALLY IS THE FUTURE!

Um, I was wrong about that short story I mentioned being in Omni - it's apparently from Analog. I'll do a write up on it, but if you can find/provide ANY help I'll be your friend for life.

"1992! I can telephone my friend and tell him to hang up the phone and call me back on his computer so I can type at him!"

I actually had that happen... a lot...

Have you asked Rick Green?

No, I haven't asked Rick for... anything PoG related, actually.

Although, it looks like I might be able to buy into old Analog issues in e-book format. 0_0

I'll see if my google fu turns up anything, but if you know the issue number, e-book sounds like your best bet!

I dunno! [livejournal.com profile] commanderteddog is looking for an issue (presumably from the early to mid 90s) that featured Enrico Gruen (from Prisoners of Gravity) as a character.

No idea on the issue number just yet. I don't even have a story name or an author, just a reference to a Prisoners of Gravity character appearing in it as a little joke.

That reference was dated January 1995 and the character first appeared in September 1990. So, somewhere between there. I'm crossreferencing issue reviews with what I know about the story at the moment.

No clue on the issue number other than it being between September 1990 - January 1995.
