After work I'm meeting [livejournal.com profile] velvetpage, [livejournal.com profile] anidada, [livejournal.com profile] nottheterritory, and our kids at the Royal Ontario Museum. Among other things, they have an exhibit of 19th century typewriters.

Nerts! Clan Haag was also in the big city today, visiting friends, and the ROM was on the tentative agenda. Our friend Emily informed us, however, that it was a madhouse this morning with huge lineups as she walked past. Ergo, we settled instead for lunch at a brew pub, a visit to a glass art gallery, and a walk to a nearby bookstore followed by tea and rest back Emily and Dave's condo.

Hope your museum experiece wasn't too crazy!

Thank goodness we didn't go; our original plan was to go to the Zoo, but I think Emily wasn't all that keen to take her 18-month old on such a large field trip that day, and I also think that my slight agoraphobia would have kicked in with extra strength... the enclosed space of the ROM packed with people would have been simply tempting fate... 8P

Quite possibly! I was finding it a bit overwhelming myself, though once we got past the dinosaurs and hands-on animal exhibits, the crowds thinned out. Of course, at that point were were looking at things the little girls had no interest in!
