I tried to catch an earlier train this morning, since I could take the car downtown. Alas, I did not plan ahead properly and discovered that all the municipal parking lots were closed until 8 AM, save the underground parking at the Convention Centre. By the time I schlepped from there to the train station, the doors on the 6:34 AM train were firmly closed, and would not open no matter how much I hooted and gesticulated at the moon-faced commuters inside.

I was forced to drink scalding coffee in the Commuter Cafe instead, and board the 7:04 AM train.

commanderteddog met me for lunch! She had a bisonburger, and I had a lamburger, and then she took me to a nearby Gelatto place so I could pay her back for a dessert I owed her from our previous lunch.

My mother brings the girls back this evening, so I'll be moving from "temporary bachelorhood" to "temporary single-parent" for the remainder of
