MFF 2009: Day One - Pyat and the Illegal Oranges

sassy_fae (aka Jenn) came by bright and early last Thursday morning. It was grey and cloudy, but the weather was warm and traffic was clear. We made good time to the border, pausing in Strathroy, Ontario to empty bladders and stretch.

Argle bargle

I've lost my glasses. I don't know when or where. I was exhausted, so I went back to bed around 11:45, and woke just before 2. The glasses are nowhere to be found. I searched the blankets and pillows, the usual spots. I hunted around the bed on my hands and knees with a flashlight. I checked the bathroom, even under the tub and behind the toilet. I finally went down to the basement in search of a spare pair, and located two.

One are the pair of gold frame ones I wore in my last two years of highschool and first year of university, and the other are the pair I wore for a year or so of university. I'm wearing the latter right now, and they look uterly wretched.

MFF 2009: Day Two - Pyat amongst the Martians

I slept very soundly, and awoke to bright sunshine on Friday morning. Friday morning was the appointed time for leonard_arlotte's traditional Cheese Quest, an annual pilgrimage to the Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This was my first year taking part in the journey, and I was not disappointed.
