DVD! DVD! And dreams! Ubi sunt! Ou sont les neiges!

Fresh DVD copies have Skullduggery and Knight Chills arrived at my door yesterday. However, I am disappointed to note that, like Mazes and Monsters, they are much murkier and muddier than the VHS tapes I have, and the DVD copies I made from those tapes.

Unless the DVD copies I made, however, they actually play in a DVD player...

Also, a series of odd dreams that involved exploring old haunts yesterday has me feeling sort of sehnsucht.

So, I really hope that the new Trek film restores Vulcans to their place as detached, competent, and analytical philosophers. Because, as I've noted before, ever since around 2000, all the good Vulcans seem to have been replaced by some kind of right-wing caricature of French people. Which is to say: meddling, ineffective, humorlessness, arrogant Socialist eggheads. From space.
