Okay, one last post.

It is now Christmas in the Eastern Time Zone.


The stockings are hung by the chimney with nails, if not care or flair.


The gifts from Santa Claus have miraculously appeared, and various wrapped presents under the tree as well.


Not a creature is stirring, except this mouse, and not for long. I'm just enjoying the glow of Christmas lights in the living room. I'll be in bed very soon.


This is Christmas number 15 with velvetpage. I love her more each year.

A local story is CNN's top headline. It happened just a little ways from catsarah's house.

Searchers had combed the brutal backcountry of rural Ontario for the housewife from the city of Hamilton, who had left her home three days earlier in the middle of a blizzard to grocery shop.

For "brual backcountry" read "Suburbia, 10 miles from a city of 500,000 people and right next to an international airport." It's sort of marginally rural. There are some farms.
