A brief recap!

We watched Logan's Run yesterday afternoon with doc_mystery, mrs_dm and shadowmaze, whereupon we went home, put the girls to bed, and I ventured forth to the Faehold to watch Kurosawa's Throne of Blood.

I think I gave myself artistic bends.

Incredibly, Throne of Blood is one of the Kurosawa movies I haven't talked about yet.

Did you watch it with the "original" or "Shakespearean" English subs?

Oo! Throne of Blood! That's one of my favorites!

Did you know, at the end there, where Mifune is running around, being shot at with arrows, that those were real arrows? Shot by real archers? With nothing between Mifune and certain arrow-y death but the skill of the archers, and some hand gestures on Mifune's part?

Well, all except for that last arrow, anyway.

So, to sum up, that's why Kurosawa is the best director ever. :)
