Work continues to be dire. Angry clients, troubling phonecalls half-overheard, sudden closed door meetings, etc.

The weekend was not so dire! Yesterday was the "House Cooling" party for [livejournal.com profile] anidada and [livejournal.com profile] nottheterritory, the last event at their Toronto digs.

I got to meet some very cool people...

... and the kids had a blast.

Today, I had the honour of joining [livejournal.com profile] kores_rabbit's D&D game! She really is quite a good Dungeon Mistress, and the players were all charming fellows. Plus, there were rats.

And licorice!

You know you're getting old when your RPG characters seem impossibly young.

'Twas a good game!

And now... good night.

You know you're getting old when your RPG characters seem impossibly young.

I am starting to have that problem with my rpg characters too. They've always been in their mid-20s, pretty much since I started gaming, but what that means to me has changed quite a bit.

We enjoyed having you at the abode and the others enjoyed your character and your personality! I'm glad when my friends mesh well!

I can't wait to come see where YOU live!

Traveller rules to the contrary, I seem to be stronger now than I was when I was 20.

I remember our rule used to be "4 years older than we are" for our all our characters. At some point around age 20 we started ignoring that rule.

Yup!

How is this weekend for gaming, BTW?

Looks like a wonderful time!

I'm sorry to have missed the house cooling, it's too bad it happened to fall on the weekend I was away.

On the work front, I hope it's helping that you've given notice. Less emotional involvement = higher levels of Zen?

I wonder if you'll be laid off before your 4 weeks are up... that might actually prove to be a positive thing, as you'll then qualify for EI while you job hunt, right?

I'll ask. You got any minotaurs in your group?
