Yesterday...

Colourin' eggs!

This one was mine. He was delicious.

Today!

Eggs please.

We went for a walk at a city park later in the day. This was the street I live on from the age of 13 until the age of 24. Sort of a mix of blue collar factory workers and white collar office folks.

This was our house. I lived in the attic the last few years I was there.

In the park...

The centre of the park - several acres of grass. Great for kites and rockets, lousy for bikes and Capture the Flag.

This weird little structure, a sort of outdoor theatre, usually stood in for a ruined city or ancient tomb.

Dancing around a lamp post.

A section of the Hamilton Mountain, the "cliff" that surrounds the lower city on three sides. The four side being Lake Ontario. Also - rose garden where we had our wedding photos, and the band shell.

Looking south on my old street.

What cutie babies they are! Easter eggs are fun to color, fun to look for (the plastic kind) and fun to eat (the real kind).

The ones we looked for were edible chocolate mini-eggs. It's usually too cold and damp for outdoor Easter Egg hunts hereabouts. :)

Damn it Jim, it's an escarpment, not a cliff/mountain! (Sorry - really excited about the new movie).

I like that it's called the mountain - I used to live near the Rockies - calling it the mountain always makes me smile.

There's an old story about that, about how the premier of BC supposedly came to Hamilton, and said something like "Back home, we have to settle for the Rockies."

Whereupon a local councilor replied, "Yes, you need to settle for your mountains. We in Hamilton have THE Mountain."

I don't think it's actually true, though!
