BTW, for those of you who haven't seen a recent photo of me? I grew my hair out.

Heavy hangs the Mantle of the Dungeon Master...

So much relies on me...

Roll for Initiative, my Frail Puppets!

So, yeah, it's a wig for a 70s party I'm attending this weekend. I was going to dress as "Stagflation", but this was cheaper.

Back to steampunkery for me!

Sadly, I have both that screen and that module. Several copies of it, in fact. :)

My current game will have a page up soon...

Don't headbang too hard at the party, or that wig'll fly off and take someone's eye out!

Gah, Dethklok playing extreme metal D&D. >_<;

Triple word score for the Uriah Heep reference in the lj-cut text.

Uriah Heep's first two albums top my "Music To Play D&D By" list.

Wig? Wig??? Okay, yeah. The man at the Dollar Store said it would fool my friends! I'm going to a 70s Party this weekend, as a Paleogamer.

Look forward to reading about your game. :)

I saw the first picture at around 6 a.m., and I was too groggy to realize I've seen recent pictures of you with short hair, and there's no way it grew so quick, so yeah, it did fool me. :D

All I could think was, "Wow. How am I going to avoid telling him he's too old for this look?"

My dad, now about 56, went to a funeral in New York a few weeks ago, and rather than spending his time mourning over the loss of his brother, he went out and got a tattoo. I never even knew he wanted one, but apparently he's been talking about it for years.

This is disturbing for many, many reasons, which I will probably post about once I've had the time.

Anyway...

Glad to see it's a wig. :)

So, this one time, we were playing MERP, and the players were in a tower looking around. And this tower had this big "seeing stones" mounted on it, sort of like magical telescopes, each weighing 400 lbs.

So, one of the players decides to steal one, and pries it off, and happens to drop it on a Ring Wraith and "kill" it.

Ah, to be 14 again.

Nothing says hardcore gamer like the longhair and beard. But what really tops it off is the picture with the very "mom" quilt in the background.

Get outta your mom's house you slacking hippy Dungeons and Dragon's freak! Dontcha know kids play that fer real in the sewers???

Priceless.

Also, bonus points for finding something 70s that didn't have bellbottoms or platform shoes. You will be unique for sure.

Love the wig too. ;-)

Gotta say, my favourite shot was the second one. Why? The look of such utter seriousness in complete contradiction to the situation. *chuckle* Loved it! 'Course, the first one was quite 'flavourful', too. *chuckle*

WAIT! Something is MISSING! What is it? YES! I know what it is. DICE! The photos needed loads and loads of DICE. That table was FAR too clean for game night. (Hmmm... Pencils, paper and pizza would've added nicely to the prop-age, too.)
