A ramble in the woods, and a murder in the abbey

We spent the evening at mar2nee and Daniel's house, or close by. Early in the evening, we sent Daniel out for Thai food and went for a walk. mar2nee revealed the presence of a conservation area trail just a block from her house, so we all went for a ramble in the woods. "We" being velvetpage, doc_mystery, mrs_dm, mar2nee, myself, three small girls, and a very large German Shepherd named Max.

shadowmaze joined us after the walk, and the adults tried their hands at a new mystery board game, set in a Medieval Abbey.

That second shot is really well composed; I like how the light off the stream leads up into the brightness of the meadow beyond. Good location of visual focus!
