Lunching! And Long Weekend!
Jul. 31st, 2008 03:30 pmI'd intended to have lunch today with a coworker and a mutual friend who played in my defunct Hackmaster game. This was canceled, and instead I went to lunch with
commanderteddog. She doodled on the table cloth, we ate, then went for a general ramble underground, with a quick pause at Game Trek.
Earlier this week, I had sushi with
tzoq, and we ran into
atomiks on the street corner and chatted a bit.
Have I mentioned that I love working in downtown Toronto?
tzoq is going on a 170 km bike ride this weekend, and intends to visit for an hour at the midpoint of his trip. Our weekend (and it is a long weekend) is otherwise entirely empty, an event almost unheard of.
... What are you folks all up to? :)

Date: 2008-07-31 08:07 pm (UTC)Saturday: sailing to Burlington, weather permitting. But no evening plans! Board games?
Sunday: church in the morning, if I wake up in time; and then driving everyone around me crazy until the kids' airplane lands! Hooray! Hooray!
Monday: probably nothing, chillin' with the children, most ilkely, who will be jet lagged and grumpy/sad about having left behind their dad, sister, etc. Mixed in with glad to be home. :)

Date: 2008-07-31 08:27 pm (UTC)Planning on going on a 33 mile bike ride, with is a pitiful distance compared to tzoq. I've been trying to train myself up to do a 100 mile ride (that's 161 km to you Canadians), but I'm beginning to doubt my capability of doing it, and whether I'll be able to afford the entry fee for the event.
