The fireflies are still out there, and seem to respond to a pen light. Or maybe I'm responding to them, I don't know. :)

Also, I somehow managed to have lunch with sassy_fae, anidada, and nottheterritory, all at the same time!

I'm not sure how I'd know if they were responding, either, given their usual behavior. But it's still fun to entertain the idea of "communicating" with them, however far-fetched. It seems kind of, I dunno, alien-ish.

During my trip down to the Ozarks, the first night the fireflies came out, it was fun to see the excited reactions of all my younger cousins (and nieces). There's something special and nigh-magical about fireflies. =)
