Sort of in the home stretch at work, though things are not letting up. The other writer went on vacation this week, naturally. My attention and motivation are in the basement. Hell's basement! Yay, verily, sub-basement!
Still, there's always time for a new project, right? The aging desktop in Pyat's Fortress was unable to recognize the new wireless router, no matter what I did. Mind you, I'm a complete networking moron. But, in any case, that combined with the dodginess of some of the components and its vintage (Pentium III, bought in 2001) have led me to put it into semi-retirement.
Rather than buy a new low-end desktop, or shove the main floor desktop into the basement, I ran out and bought a USB keyboard and mouse. I've plugged them (and the old desktop's 17" LCD) into the Portable Mousehold (my Acer Aspire netbook), and I essentially have a desktop replacement. And, I can fairly easily extricate the Portable Mousehold from its cocoon of cables and use it as a netbook once more.
I am so smart. No one has ever thought of this before me! Ha!
