So, I had the expected conversation with Elizabeth about death. At bedtime, she buried her face in her pillow and whispered a prayer that God would bring Uncle Frank back to life, and I gently explained that this would not happen. We talked a bit about heaven. She understands that what will be buried on Friday is not Uncle Frank, but merely the place he "lived", as it were. She noted it was a good think that Uncle Frank had stopped working, otherwise his boss might show up at the funeral and upset people by saying that Frank was late for work.

December 23rd would have been his 77th wedding anniversary.
