Pyat is very smart
May. 8th, 2008 12:56 pmI fixed my sink. It was broken!
Like, actually smashed. The basin had cracked badly, and a couple of days ago the bits fell down. Superglue, silicon sealer, epoxy clay, and a small strip of white duct tape, and it's good as new, aside from being terribly ugly! I even used a hammer and a chisel to carefully shape some of the bits of porcelain so they'd fit back together.
I was pleased with the expoy clay idea. The last smallish 1/2" x 1/3" fragment fell into the void inside the sink while I was fixing it. I used the clay to shape something that fit the space exactly, superglued it in place, and surely Bjorn-Stronginthearm-is-My-Uncle.
