Sleep!

I slept 11 hours last night, which I've not done in years and years. I feel much better today, and the night was full of interesting dreams. I also had a Striking Epiphany that woke me up around 1 AM for a bit, but it has vanished in the morning light.

I mostly remember a dream wherein I was wearing a pair of brown leather shoes and a dark suit. I was walking through a very large building, which seemed to be some kind of church or banquet centre, all done up in 1950s linoleum and ultility carpet.

There is a post brewing about 2009. In the meantime, [livejournal.com profile] doc_mystery has posted some photos from our NYE party - including some of people I didn't get good images of.

I hate when the sparks of brilliance escape. I often think I should keep a pad of paper by the bed. But in my teenage years, I did - to record my dreams - the gobbledee-gook I heard in the morning was amazing.

dreamed last night of an art con. want that art now.

I concur on the 'keep a notepad by the bed'. Or voice recorder. No guarantees it'll look brilliant come morning..

I think it was Dodgeson who suggested a grid of cardboard with letter-sized square holes cut out in it laid atop a piece of paper, so that you needn't turn a light on to record scraps of genius in bed when awoke from a dream. But he was a bit nutty, and we have quiet effective handheld technology to do that now. n.n

I have a pink notebook and glitter pen to write down the amazing ideas that strike when I'm asleep. That's a half truth, though; my glitter pen ran out of ink.

I need to get a new glitter pen. ^.^;;

It won't be long before I need a new pink notebook, this isn't my first one...

I usually don't get cognizant enough to relay my dreams (if I have them), down on paper. Or even in a recorder. Though according to my family, I do these half-asleep discussions with them on all sorts of things that can get quite interesting.
