The news is full of reports about North Korea's second nuclear test. Does that mean the various Western governments are no longer claiming the first was a fake?

I don't think much of anyone claimed it was -Fake-, rather it was a moderately pathetic fizzle. I recall the US found some signs it was real.

You are correct it seems! I just remember most recently a pundit somewhere claiming it was uncertain or unlikely.
