Those paper crowns reminded me of Christmases when I was little, too. Back when my grandma (who's now in a nursing home with incurable, possibly terminal now, cancer and can't walk) was well enough to cook a turkey for the whole family, we always used to have those Christmas crackers that have paper crowns in them.
Never mind 5...I live to get a little plastic horse! And the funny jokes. And my numerology for the year! I think I may have to go out and get me a box of crackers.
Aunt Jeanne's venerable godfather of the fur, Donald. That cat is fast approaching twenty years old.
Misty was around a lot more, therefore Piet didn't get a picture of him. This is the only view I got of Donald - he's adept at hiding when he doesn't want to socialize.

Paper crowns were (and are) also big at our Christmas gatherings. Crackers were the best part of the meal when I was 5.
