Gaming purchases

As a sort of anniversary gift to myself, I picked up the 4th edition Player's Handbook, and a copy of the new(ish) Werewolf RPG. I may even make use of them!

Oooh, what new Werewolf RPG is this?

Werewolf: The Forsaken. Well, it's new to ME. :)

Ah.

Given that the game of it I ran for about a year dissolved in 2006 it doesn't feel very new to me ;)

Ah, well, the older you get, the closer things seem in time, by perspective. 2006 is, like, yesterday. :)

Didn't that whole Iraq mess just start a few months ago?

Unfortunately, the principle only applies to fun things. The war has been going on as long as I've been a parent. That's a freakin' long time.

I hear there's a new Stargate series, called SG-1! I think you'd like it!

It's a good read. I much prefer it to its predecessor. I also have a couple of supplements if you want to borrow.

Might do, if I get around to anything with it.

I had a love/hate relationship with the original. I ran a couple of campaigns in the mid-90s, short ones, that I liked, and I had nearly every supplement, pre-1998.

You, Me and some dice when I get back.

Werewolf, or D&D?

I bought the 4th ed PHB a couple of days ago as well. The Hairy Tarantula is selling it for $26.95 for the rest of the month.

What do you think of it, thus far?

[identity profile] kisekileia.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Haven't read it yet. My parents are going to wrap it up and give it to me on the 5th, though it's still sitting in my apartment waiting to be taken over to their place.
