In the Merry and/or Lusty Month of May

I had not one, but two spiritual experiences yesterday.

Breakfast at a Fleischer Studios-themed diner. I believe [livejournal.com profile] paka would enjoy this place. Also, hooray for reading Wodehouse. (PS: I did not expect that much meat.)

The Labyrinth

Holy crap, Pyat! That's a breakfast, in the proper sense of the word!

[identity profile] pyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a little much, even for me. :)

[identity profile] sassy-fae.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Was it? Oh dear!
We should definitely do breakfast sometime, that's the size of diner breakfast I like, but with the addition of a couple pancakes :D

Did you get out of the Labyrinth? Were you devoured or did the minotaur just get you wiifi?

"I did not expect that much meat."

That's what she said!!!

....I'm sorry.

No, truly, it had to be said. ^o^

[identity profile] pyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Ow. :)

*cackles*

You win the internet!

Where is the diner? Fleischer-themed? Really?

[identity profile] pyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Hamilton! A Wimpy's Diner! Really!

I would love to walk a labyrinth. There aren't any in my area that I know of.

Evidently you look vaguely like my father from a distance. Ganon sat on my lap, saw the labyrinth picture, pointed, and said in glee: "PAPA!"

When I was a teenager, I was once mistaken for my Uncle Frank, who is 37 years older than me. :)

a) Sweet porcine jebus, that's a lot of meat.

b) A friend of mine is very, very into walking labyrinths -- I get a bit dizzy. :)

[identity profile] pyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
A) Yeah, I was sort of surprised. I did not closely read the menu. :)

B) You're not supposed to run through!

Three eggs is impressive, but bacon, ham AND sausage?

That's a big 'ol protien slap.

My arteries were being uppity. I decided to give them "what for."

.... I never expected that breakfast at Wimpy's would look at damn good. It reminds me of chow you could get at Strawberry's in Thunder Bay. Now, given that Thunder Bay is far away and Strawberry's might be closed... MORE INFO IS NEEDED! Where's the Hamilton Wimpy's and how much did that set you back?

[identity profile] pyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It's next to Eastgate, on Queenston. It's pretty good. Wimpy's diners usually are. :)

This was the most expensive breakfast, at $8.49.

[identity profile] seritaph.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
What, no bacon? I'm... somewhat disappointed. :)

Also, breakfast and book reading is the only way to be civilized.

[identity profile] pyat.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
What do you mean, "no bacon?" See that stuff at the top of the plate? The two pink cutlets? That is peameal bacon the Cadillac of Bacon. I think Yanks sometimes call it "Canadian Bacon", but I'm not sure.

[identity profile] paka.livejournal.com 2008-05-08 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. There's enough meat there that you get a desultory amount of hash browns. Usually it's the other way around. Wow.
