If you could make one change in your life…
Putting aside things like, “I’d win a lottery,” I want to be healthier. I made a good start on this, lost 20 lbs, worked out a lot, but I’ve let the weight slide back up. I still work out, though even that routine has been disrupted. Happily, this is a change I can make in my life. So… back on the horse.
Favourite flower?
I don’t know that I have a specific favorite. I know I like Queen Anne’s Lace in a field and African Violets in a pot. I’m not crazy about roses or tulips specifically, but I like well-arranged flowers of all kinds in a greenhouse or garden, and a wild profusion of flowers in a wild garden or meadow.
Ultimate vocation?
I want to be a writer of minor SF novels that sell just enough to keep me being invited to conventions as a second-string guest, and help pay the mortgage on a large Victorian home. Right now I’m merely a part-time writer of minor RPG books that sell just enough to keep me being invited to conventions as a third-string guest, and help pay for…. Well… bus fare?
If you could live in an alternate universe, what would that look like?
Annie Lennox in a dirigible.
Specifically, image Annie Lennox circa “Love is a Stranger”, in the observation deck of a zeppelin cruising past the Chrysler Building. There would also be computers, and space travel, and affordable fusion power.
Boxers or briefs. Explain!
Boxers, because they last longer, and because I often wear them as pajamas. I don’t want to shamble about the house in just a pair of briefs, like some sort of common cave troll.

What sort of science fiction novels do you want to write? Like, what kind of stories, what kind of settings, that sort of thing?
