Parental Anecdote

A few days ago, Elizabeth (who is 4) and I were outside at night, and we saw the full moon.

Her: “Look dad! I can see the Man in the Moon, I can see his face!”
Me: “So can I! What do you think his name is?”
Her: “He doesn’t have a name.”
Me: “I thought it was Aiken Drum.”
Her: “No.”
Me: “No?”
Her: “No.”
Me: “Oh, okay.”
Her: “If we went and stood on the Moon, the face would just be holes.”
Me: “Oh… that’s true.”

She is a very well-informed little girl.
